Dear Valued Patrons,
As you know, Sage Harvest has been providing unique cooking experiences at various venues throughout Southeastern Wisconsin since 2020. We pride ourselves on creating incredibly delicious and nutritious food for our cooking classes, private dinners, and catered events. From 2022 to 2024, our founder and executive chef, Michael Solovey, also managed Appetito, a cooking school he helped launch for Glorioso's on Brady Street, which shared a building with Sage Harvest.
With the sale of the Glorioso family's Italian market last October after 78 years, Sage Harvest lost its physical location. Since then, we've been active by hosting pop-up public cooking classes at The Box MKE, The Milwaukee Public Market, and Braise Culinary, in addition to teaching private cooking classes and preparing private dinners in our clients' homes.
Our initial plan for 2025 was to re-establish ourselves in a permanent location. However, the current economic climate, marked by rising inflation and social uncertainty, has significantly impacted the food and beverage industry. Consumers are spending less, and many establishments are closing.
At Sage Harvest, we believe in resilience. We see this as an opportunity for industry leaders to unite and navigate these challenges together. As such, we've partnered with established restaurants and event spaces to maintain our brand presence and continue offering science-based cooking classes and exceptional food to Milwaukee and the surrounding area. Our investors, faculty, and staff remain dedicated to our mission, recognizing that now is not the time for expansion. Instead, we are focusing on our strengths, creating new methods and recipes, and deepening our passion for food.
We will continue to explore new locations and financial opportunities, seeking the perfect moment and setting to return to a facility that offers an even better, more welcoming, and nurturing learning environment than before. Please follow our newsletter and website for updates on our progress.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your ongoing support of our mission to educate the public on better ways to prepare healthy and delicious food, minimize waste, avoid culinary stagnation, and maximize the joy of cooking for loved ones. We deeply appreciate your support.
Warmly,
The Sage Harvest Crew
